About

Beyond Blathers is hosted and produced by Olivia deBourcier and Sofia Osborne, two animal-loving science communicators who also like to play Animal Crossing in their spare time.

Olivia deBourcier

Olivia deBourcier is in her final year of a BSc in Environmental and Conservation Sciences at the University of Alberta. This summer, Olivia worked under the supervision of Dr. Carol Frost and John Acorn identifying New Caledonian beetles. Previously, she worked at the Edmonton Valley Zoo as an interpreter and zookeeping assistant. Olivia's love of all wildlife big and small fuels her projects and she's excited to share what she's learned about critters on this podcast.
